April 14 / Hanami (Japanese spring celebration)

Hanami: First Annual Cherry Blossom Celebration Picnic in Baltimore

Date: Saturday, April 14 at 1-4pm
Location: Middle Branch Park 3301 Waterview Ave, Baltimore, MD, 21230
Admission: Event is free.

Join Baltimore Kawasaki Sister Cities Committee in celebrating the arrival of spring beneath a canopy of pink blossoms along one of Baltimore’s finest waterfronts in Middle Branch Park. Bring your blanket, a picnic, and your cultural curiosity. Come to learn about this wonderful Japanese tradition of celebrating underneath the Cherry Blossoms.

Hosted by Baltimore Kawasaki Sister Cities Committee, a cultural group that brings Japan to Baltimore. Sponsored by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (Parks Programs and Events and Forestry and Tree Services), The Baltimore Kawasaki Sister Cities Committee, and The Flowering Tree Trails of Baltimore. We anticipate good weather but the designated raindate will be the following day, Sunday, April 15, at the same time.
