
Several of our sister Cities participate in the FIFA World Cup! The Kingdom of the Netherlands has not one but two countries in the
FIFA World Cup 2026 :
The Netherlands (Team Orange) and
Curaçao (The Blue Wave)!
There are several rounds. The first round (the group stage) is now through June 27, with 48 teams competing in matches. They will be narrowed down to 32 teams who will compete in the knockout phase between June 28-July 3. The remaining 16 teams will compete July 4-7; after that are the quarterfinals July 9-11, semifinals July 14-15, and the final match on July 19.
