
Several of our sister cities’ countries are participating in the
FIFA World Cup 2026; 🇪🇬 Egypt; 🇯🇵 Japan; 🇰🇷 South Korea; and two countries from the Kingdom of the Netherlands : 🇳🇱 The Netherlands and 🇨🇼 Curaçao!
There are several rounds in the World Cup. The first round (the group stage) is June 11- 27, with 48 teams competing in matches. They will be narrowed down to 32 teams who will compete in the knockout phase between June 28-July 3. The remaining 16 teams will compete July 4-7; after that are the quarterfinals July 9-11, semifinals July 14-15, and the final match on July 19.
